Sunrise on Oregon’s Highway 20 near the small town of Burns. This stretch of Highway 20 is usually pretty boring, but the colors of sunrise added just enough color and excitement. I decided to pull of the road and take a few shots. Glad I did!

Wednesday, October 5th, 2011Passing Thunderstorm
Tuesday, August 30th, 2011I grew up in Missouri Valley, Iowa and so I’m no stranger to severe weather. The other night/morning (3:45 am) I saw lighting way in the distance from my deck. I checked the weather and radar and saw a storm cell near Sweet Home, Oregon. I grabbed my gear and set out with hopes of catching some lighting shots. The storm never really materialized and a few minutes after I made this shot the rain started to come down thus ending my night. Not a great shot, but the thrill of chasing this storm made it all worth it.
